someone please tell me our strong religious belief has nothing to do with the misery of these widows in Nepal.

 I think it is because of lack of education more than religious beliefs. I really felt bad for the woman at the last part of the video.. She had to send her kids to an orphanage cuz she didn't have enough money to raise them! poor kids.. God Bless them.

 Yes, it is very sad and makes us feel like crying to see the plight of these widows. I agree that education is the key but I wonder what would be the status of the widows among educated families. Is there any possibility that the previous house-owner of the last widow could be educated? I saw the similar report of dalits changing their names to get the room in kathmandu on Kantipur few years back.
