what were your symptoms? That may help others as well to detect it in time. Were you alcoholic? Did you overdose with protein powders? genetics?? I know few symptoms - - leg swelling - brown/dark urine - nausea/loss of appetite - vertigo - motion sickness - mild lower back pain - occasional intense stomach pain - high blood pressure.
what was yours?
Start taking cranberry juice(Trader joe's has one, very good) and cilantro juice.

and, one another thing , little bit off topic, but man's manhood is directly connected to his overall health. It's the proven scientific fact. If for some reason man is not having a harder erection or normal morning wood, it is the onset of various diseases like ailing heart condition, poor kidney function, clogged arteries, blood pressure, diabetes, stomach cancer etc. I've been into this penile health obsession since 4-5 years and it has brought nothing but overall good health. Every day morning wood, higher energy level and no fatigue day. I gulp various supplements like L-arginine, L-citruline, red korean ginseng, aswhagandha, turmeric pills every single day. I've been able to maintain 21.59 cm manhood with the help of extra tool like bathmath and tantric yoga, of course 3-4 days a week workout. Having a good hard erection means you are in good shape, and this applies to man only. You must be recklessly careless about your health in the past. Seems like stress must have played big role too. Off all the supplements that I take, especially L-arginine is extremely good for your case and it shall help with your GFR. I would still drink that soury cranberry juice before bed, and occasionally plain cilantro smoothie. I mix it with my other smoothie but in your case, I don't think your kidney can tolerate anything high sodium or potassium so just start cilantro smoothie, lemon for taste. here is L-arginine journal http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15252778 Buy it at amazon, go for the well reviewed one. Take care and don't worry much. But at least share, what prompted you to get that test.

Forty2, lot of bodybuilder had kidney failures. Reason, they overused protein powder and creatine supplement. For every 1 pound of body weight , there is a limit of protein in gram that you can take according to your whole body weight. But these body builders were reckless and just kept upping proteins to build the mass and suddenly one day their kidney failed. Bro, you need to immediately start taking that l-arginine for your kidney. Talk to your doctor, if possible print the research paper, take it to him and immediately start that after consulting with him. May be you are on RX drugs for your high BP but have you known about hawthorn? It's good for cardiovascular health. Well, I take it for good circulatory system in my body , you know why I take it as I already mentioned above? but it keeps your blood pressure normal as well. It unclogs arteries and keep heart function in top-notch condition. Again, talk to your doctor if you are taking any RX pill for your high BP else buy it off Amazon and help yourself immediately. Goodluck.

Any other fellow compatriots, you can easily check your blood pressure either with your fingers feeling your nerves on your wrist or with android app.
I've seen people around suddenly getting bedridden and shortly dead. Cause? High Blood pressure. It's a silent killer, it systematically destroys your internal organs like brain, kidneys, livers etc. You don't even know you have high BP, you are just a normal active dude and suddenly one day you are fainted. You wake up in the hospital and doctor says you've life threatening this and that(stroke, brain aneurysm, kidney failure, liver damage, etc) .
DO THIS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD
When I'm not busy and bored, I just check my pulse and I measure it. I measure it for 15 secs. If I get 15 pulses per 15 secs, then I multiply by 4 which gets me 60 pulse per minute. It varies in different time of the day but I keep my pulse near 60-70. If you are getting above 90 pulses per minute, you are on the verge of collapse, literally. You may feel normal now but suddenly one day everything changes for you.
Athletes resting heart have their pulses at 50 - 60 bpm Normal resting heart has pulses at 60 - 80 bpm After intense physical workout, pulses at 80 -95 bpm Ailing heart has pulses either far too low bpm or too high bpm .

@forty2, Dude I know its panicking but you cannot undo what u did before. Just lookup on the Google, there are many things u would find what to do and what not. Few of my suggestions, avoid sodium, sugar(lots of diabetes have kidney failure and sugar does not help in progressing kidney disease), avoid rice; have brown rice instead, watch your weight, do yoga and meditation(helps to relax and distress; stress also does not help with kidney and heart diseases). Also what Stallion mentioned are good I believe. Do kidney checkups more than often. Notice any changes in your weight, any abnormal swelling or back pain around kidney areas, or any abnormal symptoms. That's all I can remember. Main thing is do not panic, follow your doctors advice and do your best to maintain your current health.

Dherai dherai dhanyabaad stallon I am so glad you let me know about the l-arginine. I will start taking it asap. i researched it and found it very good. Mostly it was due to stress. Life stuff. But Now its only plain excuse for not letting my elf be worry free. I have been a eating good food and didnt live unhealthy life. While i was student I did go careless here and there. But it all started with HIgh Blood pressure. I have been drinking cilantro and parsely juice and been eating very healthy. I have made it my only aim to go from stage 3 to stage 2. ANd thank you for the suggestions. I am rite now on Lisinopril and prednisone. As soon as i was on prednisone I have been feeling side effects from it, like the things you mentioned. I check my Bp everyday. Its in normal range. But whenever I think of death it gives me goosebumps and makes me scared.

Sorry to hear about your condition but an internet forum is not where you'd go to when it comes to actual advice. Please go see a doctor. Godspeed recovery.

Forty2 and everyone else, today am going to share a GEM with you . Everyone of you should read this book like it's the last book on Earth. For your own health and it's GOOOOOD.
http://www.amazon.com/Over-Counter-Natural-Cures-Expanded/dp/1402225059/
I'll summarize it, if you need explanation and how to take those herbs, read the book.
Seasonal Cold/immune booster - Garlic Heart Health, Cardiovascular disease - Hawthorn Prostate health - saw palmetto Stress - Valerian Cancer - Turmeric
and so many others. (If I mention them all, I'm sure author of this book is gonna come after me lol).
And these are not snake oil science treatment option, the author himself likes to call himself people's chemist and what he does is test all the ingredients of the supplements in the market and recommend the best ones. There are hundreds of valid research papers to back his recommendation and so many testomonials of patients that you can talk to who got rid of prescription drugs eventually.
These herbs take times, at least a month to see effect but it does help cure diseases and the most importantly prevent diseases.
Buy it, Give it a read and thank me later.

Doctors don't lie. You'll be fine. That GFR thing can be brought back to normal. Just cut off your protein intake, sodium and potassium rich foods for now. check this link https://healthunlocked.com/nkfearlyckd/posts/756806/increasing-gfr-question. One guy managed to up his GFR from 59 to 100. Be glad they caught it early.
