My friend is a summer (July) graduate. she has applied for her OPT starting date as Sept 21st 2007 which will end on Oct 20th 2008 by using her 60 days extension period. she is planning to apply for H1B this April 2008. Now, we are in dilemma that even if she has been approved H1B what will be her status during those10 days as she can’t take more extensions. What are her options.. Does she needs to go back to school to maintain her status FOR 10 DAYS? Will this hamper her H1B approval decision? Please suggest….

Its better to consult the Intl. Student Service. Also, I dont think leave of 10 days will make some sense 'coz such leave will not be approved during such if one who's practically out of OPT. She can voluntarily work or take rest for 10 days enjoying in Halifax provided H1 is 100%.
