i c
now i remember
reminds me of a bad experience under that bridge
almost drowned trying to swim in trishuli.
its not that i couldn't swim, but the undercurrent was so strong near the middle, it pulled me real fast and down.
phewwwwwwww, i somehow managed to stroke with all my might and got ashore and didn't go back to narayani for next few months.

if like in the nursery rhyme -

'london bridge is falling down'; the bridges do fall down then

option 1- row row row your boat merrily down the stream...............

Definitely not Safe. I am doubt that the bridge is designed for so many live loads at a time.

wasn't the first pic Manakamana's..??? I remember that from my very first visit there.. it was a long time before they had the cable car.. at that time the bridge had a gap, i still remember it clearly 'coz it was very dangerous even then. can't believe the bridge is still in use, I hope it's been renovated regularly..

i think jholunge pool is Suspension Bridge although there are highways in US and Europe under the same architecture..
ghyabri,
that is really sad to see women and old people trying to earn something by travelling that dangerous route daily.
They are brave but i bet all of them are afraid, because
"bravery doesn't mean that you are not afraid, it just means that there are other more important things to think."
