But no, it is snow instead. Shopping malls. Flowers. Shimmering lights red and yellow, the Santa hat. Miller Light and politics. It?s Christmas.

?What are you doing for Christmas?? Questions burp, emails slither into boxes, and mails keep piling. I cuddle in the bed, sipping tea and watching Louis dance Meringue. ?You guys are boring! Let?s go out!? says Amaida so we drag ourselves in our pajamas. Drive by the frozen lakes, naked trees watching us, waiting for their lovers to come kiss them. The isolated, abandoned book rack by the dumpster. Let?s get it! Says Louis and we all laugh- Over our international student status.

In an hour we are devouring hot Chicken Teriyaki with Chinese fried rice. Some soup to warm our damp souls. Camera lights flash and laughters roar in the mall. Simon is checking out girls, and we are checking out guys; tanned, too tanned may be- dark skin glowing in yellow lights; drizzling snow in their bare, dark arms shimmer like pieces of diamonds. Window shopping. Boring day. Another movie? Someone thinks it a bad idea. So we decide to drive to another state instead, yet another one, yet another state. Barren lands, corn fields that are dry and wet, some holy cows or no cows. And the next day and the next, we keep roaming around like someone who has no destiny. Wandering feet. And I keep typing, like a razing fire, as if there is a deadline to meet tomorrow, some deadline, pretending there is a deadline?and so I run.

Few years ago, it was snowing like acrazy on a Xmas day. I had got nothing to do. I was pretty bored, so I thought I should go watch a movie. I dragged my car to the empty mall... bought a ticket to a movie and went in the theater thinkin' I might be the only one in a theater since it was xmas day and was snowing like crazy... The theater was FULL... eh.

Was it James Bond movie or something? ummm, "The world is not enuff" I guess, not sure tho.

But for now I need to run outside in the cold, get some heat off my body!
