I have never followed Nepalese politics in my entire life. The only thing I hated was Gynandre and his cronies after he killed my favorite King Birendra. Anyways, I was absolutely flabbergasted by this dude's commitments and some his exemplery works he has done so far. Good luck! Mr. Baburam Bhattrai even though I don't completely agree with your politics.

So many people have hope on this man. Question is what will happen when he does not deliver. Who is the next messiah on the line?

i dont know what's the big deal about Dr. Bhattarai talking on the phone with General Public. For me it's just a " Showman Ship ". It's not like he doesn't know, what Nepalese want.
On the other hand, driving nepali assembled car, and donating his UN allowance, well he could have done that before being elected as PM too, but again it could also me a mere move to be more popular and subastantial than his conterpart PKD.
Nonetheless, his actions are very welcommed :)
On a lighter note, i wish NAS would stop being a Devils Advocate, and would be nice if he valued in making his name in a real world rather than Sajha World. You know the funny thing about ppl who have something to say on everything, really never have anything to say on anything. Again, Nonetheless his comments are always " Intellectually Inspired " that i do appreicate.
Happy Bijaya Dashami.

Nah, Nas bro. I haven't blocked your comments. I think its the sajha filter. It allows only 60 comments per hour to prevent flooding.

All I care is, he is the only hope of Nepal. After all he has one of the brilliant minds (at least better than mine) and holds a PhD compared to other 99% high school dropout Netas. Also even Rameshwor Khanal (I didn't know him until today) is his self-appointed advisor and he also happens to be one of the intellectual minds who resigned because of the political pressure. Not to forget that he is one of the outstanding bureaucrats who actually did his job well and accumulated billions of taxes which otherwise would have been impossible. It can also be logically interpreted that Mr Khanal isn't corrupt as I am 100% sure he must have recieved an offer in millions from those corrupt buisnessmen (to save their billions in case you are a knuckleheads and still cant grasp it).
Although Mr Bhattrai calls himself a Marxist (which I might not be uncomfortable with) I wouldn't mind extending my full support if he would be able to raise the economic conditions of overall Nepal (like Deng Xiaping).
It is easy to be a troll or some pseudo-intellectual and post your rambling rants, all while enjoying the benefits of a developed country. It is even easier to disparage people (maybe its the ethos of Nepalese society) but for one time can't we all support a genuine leader who might do something for our fellow Nepalese back home especailly those groups who don't even have access to basic facilities that we take for granted?

Collegefoot,
You and me know that our country is one of the poorest in the world with depressing facts and figures. (Why?) Ineffective adminstration and corrupt politicians has made our country like a hell. I understand your frustration and I do not endorse violence neither do I accpet the concept of using arms and ammunitions. Maoist launched a war that pushed our country even backward and luckily they are following the democratic norms now which I think we should feel happy. I am not happy because Maoist emerged as a biggest party but I m happy because the cycle of killing Nepali and getting killed has been stopped. You and me can whine and fuss here all day but think what could have happened if that so called war was still going today? The war is our dark history and we need to learn lessons from it and make sure we never, ever go that route.
One more thing, I do like the present PM of Nepal. I may not agree with all his ideologies but he is doing something for our country. He is doing something no PM has ever done. He has vision and he keeps his word. Some folks are saying his riding Mustang, travelling in economy class, returning the money he got from the tour and trying to reach the genral public are just a means for publicity but who is benefiting from all that? Our Country and we are. Jhallu ordered a car that costs more than a crore and he has a car that costs 17 lakhs. Do the math and figure out how much money he saved for the country. Also, I have been following this guy ever since he was a finance minister. He returned all the bonuses he got even then too.
Someone is trying to do something for our nation. Let's support him and tell him what he is doing right and what he needs to do further. If you can't support, shut your punk a** mouth!!

Busenitz:
Whatever you said until the last line is somewhat correct and although I hate anyone who support Maoists (like you), I agree on some of your points here. I know (from the earlier posts), you are a "chamcha" of Maoists and "bhada ko tattoo", and I am quite confident that you would not agree whatever other people say (which is the nature of maoists), but still mark these words: Baburam (the terrorist) is an educated bastard. He is displaying his cheap mentality by doing all those stuffs (better to say, he is trying to be Anil kapoor of Nayak). The day he would be taking one step further for creating peace, writing constituion, returning seized and looted properties, I would agree (and mark my words here, I will) that he is the man and from that very day, you won't see me whining with any bad words about him. Busenitz, you seem educated but why can't you understand he is just going for cheap popularity?
And now about your last comment (I just want to repay the debt, whatsoever):
Moron Baburam is not trying to do anything for the nation. He is trying to gain popularity to extend some term for himself to be a PM in future. Only some people (on the skin of Kukur) will support this. He was a terrorist and is a terrorist. he should surrender himself in the international court. "All Maoists and their supporters should be termed as terrorists." Got that you a**hole?

Collegefootballrocks, More than 30% of Nepali people supported the Maoist party during the last election and they got more seat than the other two parties (NC and UML) combined. If you label all Maoist support terrorist than that will make almost half of Nepali citizen Terrorist. I am not a Maoist supporter but so far Dr. BRB has given some hope for the country where no other politician before him had given. I am not saying he will solve all the problem or this might just be a showoff who knows but so far he has not given any reason to complain us. To me that is great itself considering Nepali politicians. Also, at present time who do we have as alternative...Sujata Koirala?? K. P Oli??? Makunea??? Prachanda??? Deuba??RC Poudel??Bijay Gaccahadar?? Can you name any?

I am neither related to any party nor politics interest me but being Nepali I think we have a choice whether to being [Disallowed String for - bad word]#ing act like a grumpy old man who is always bitter about the past or move on with some hope. Baburam seems like a visionary man and he is trying his best so I will support him in his endevors even though my ideologies are different from him.

Nepwanted, you might wanna be more careful when you say Chaldaithyo, Chalirachha, Chalnechha because Nepal is slowly changing. If we do not pay attention now it will veer towards the worse. Remember some politician suggested about division of Nepal few weeks back. Well it has gone that far.
Collegefoot, do me a favor. Stop ranting like a cormorant. Dont kill the messenger to kill the message. If you wanna negate someone, provide some points. Listening to you, it sounds like Nepal's problem is not politicians, it's people like you. You demand good netas. They don't drop from the sky. The come from the people's pool. You demand compromise. But you resort to namecalling. Compromises don't fall from the sky. You have to setup the precedent. And namecalling destroys that precedent. Badmouthing prevents different parties to be involved in a civilized discourse. Without a civilized discourse, you can never attain peace. It's gonna be like Israel and Palestine. The way you rant, it feels like you are Makune's nephew or someone who doesnt love Nepal, just himself. Plus you sound very party affiliated.
I don't care about any party but if someone is doing a good thing for Nepal. I applaud it because I love Nepal. Collegefoot, you should learn to give credit when the credit is due. Don't be a coward. Have the courage to praise someone who is sacrificing for the good of the country however small it may be.
