Buddy, go for labview instead of matlab. Matlab is already outdated by labview.

Here are some of the links that you may find useful in learning Matlab http://krypton.mnsu.edu/~nlee/na/MatlabNotes.pdf http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/index.html?/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/learn_matlab/bqr_2pl.html;jsessionid=qMYrJmcXSbXnGTGdHPghpjGMnRgXSXXmFVcNbs2wmFQCPRVJr5bP!-1791651550

Thank you very much..... I tried learning on my own looking up online tutorials from diff.. universities but I realised it is very hard to continue doing so esp. if you lack strong discipline and patience.... I was thinking more in a line of having to learn through instructors......

Google matlab videos. There are plenty of those. I found a MatLab channel in YouTube. Go through the videos. I am sure once you get the basics, you will be fine. Good luck.

jhapaliketo ,Matlab is NOT outdated by Labview, and one is not necessarily a replacement of the other. When it comes to data manipulation, MATLAB trumps labview easily, as it is a primarily mathematical engine designed for this very purpose. The difference is noticeable when you get into heavy calculations involving large matrices and the like. MATLAB is still going strong and is used alongside labview in many labs. It all depends on your purpose. If you are simply making calculations, MATLAB is the way to go. If you have multiple instruments and need real time data and variable manipulation, the labview's visual interface-based design might be better suited.
