I always introduce myself with - I am from the land of Mt.Everest or birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is easier this way instead of explaining geographic locations and coordinates. as most people suck in geography and math.

No one in my work recognize me as Nepali, they assume automatically as Indian, i have to tell them then only they will be like okay...so you are not Indian, but where is Nepal ....now? And we are still trying to lend the name of Everest and Buddha...can't we do better than that? People just need to move on..This whole attitude of India is trying to capture Nepal is so funny? Who wants to take a failed state like Nepal? I am sure Indian people laugh everytime we make fun of ourselves in the name of Buddha.

People worldwide, who already watched that movie did not get to know this 'apology message' did they? so it's obivious that they still believe Buddha was born in India.

 I said people like to generally refer to that area that region as India to talk about historic events. “Buddha was born 2500 years ago in Sakya Dynasty.” I bet these people had never even heard about Nepal. Sakya dynasty was there Nepal back then?

Finally (since u are so fond of Buddha) Buddha himself said all these little things who born where what mountain where is so trivial.  AND let not forget Buddha’s another most important teaching never hate and as far as I can see u r a RACIST. And to end it “besides the most important thing Buddha achieved enlightenment in a city now located in India not in Nepal” do u have something to say about this as well because Buddha without this was just prince Siddhartha.

There was No Nepal There was no India too ALL SMALL KINGDOMS in ASIA ......SO Indians cant say they were all India..as far as I know..BRITISH created India, Pakistan, Bangladesh Before leaving. This is so stupid. History of current modern Nepali border is less than 300 years. The birthplace of Buddha falls in Nepal because Prithvi Narayan Shah conquered the area 300 years ago. And same UML/YCL youths who are hell bent against Prithvi Narayan Shah, are in the forefront of this issue.

I do not know why we waste so much time arguing about where Buddha was born. If we are so proud of Buddha, why don't we follow Buddha's religion. Saying Buddha is an incarnation of Bishnu does not fly.

There are so many more pressing matters in Nepal including 16 hour loadshedding, no water, no one picking up the trash, poverty, insecurity, pollution, illiteracy, and 100's of other issues but we are concerned about this little issue. How shallow have we become? We can live on top of garbage without electricity and water but we cannot stand someone saying anything about Buddha.

You are making a blunt statement without regards to all the proof given by the most reliable source.  Go and read book of UNESCO which have clearly labeled buddha was born in Nepal.  If he was born in India UNESCO would have clearly written that the Lumbni was part of old nepal.

People don't generally refer the then Nepal  to as India, go and read history book it always says "Indian subcontinent ----- Bharatiya Upamahadip" it is never a India.   But somehow Indians have twisted the word to their advantage. One film even said China was part of India...........Chinese is one of the oldest civilization in the world.What bullshit are they talking about. If China was part of India ...than there would have been Indian faces in China and not the Mongolian faces.

well i am shocked to see how quickly government reacted to this CCTC issue...instead of wasting their resources in such issues why don;t they first deal with the major problem in the country...16 hrs of load shedding...also it is amazing to see how nepalese people got pissed off by some dhoti's comment in some stupid movie and some of them even decided to write to Warner Bros and were ready to take any steps to ban that movie in Nepal..instead of protesting against CCTC why can;t nepalese people protest against 16 hrs of load shedding..i wonder how quickly our government will react if people protest against 16 hrs of load shedding...

Abt Buddha born in India issue..............for me that was a huge mistake from the film producers n nepalese sud have taken proper measures a proper voicing against the BLUNDER.......not go n burn tyres or try to damage public properties in the name of that(this part I m guessing coz that the first phase of protest back home)...........aba ta kehi baki pani chaina hola bhatkauna ko lagi..................mattitel yesto mahango chha heater balera kaha tapna paunu tyre free ma payincha tyehi tapincha re!!!!

On a positive note, load shedding 16 hrs hoina 14 hrs bhayou re!!!!
Last time I went back home about a couple of years ago, there seemed problem everywhere............n then I said to myself well may b we r seeing the worst......whatever happens Nepal couldnt do worse than the situation they were in then............but I was so wrong we r digging deep to get to the worse point........it just gets worse n worse!! M going home in a month expecting nothing...........surely much more hatred, lots of load shedding, lots of strikes n lots of protests!! What more can I expect!! :((

By the way to all of you,, not all of Nepal has Electricity so 16 or 14 whatever of Blackout of Kathmandu valley doesn't hold any water... there are others in Nepal who still use Laterns and Tuki....

-Latshering Glan Angry demonstrations occurred in the city over brainless information disseminated through the big bannered Bollywood movie ‘Chadani Chowk to China’. Ripping off the movie posters and the furor caused the authorities to shelve the screenings of the film after movie-goers came through the movie script where Gautam Buddha has been forenamed as an Indian. Information regarding its removal from the theatres has been informed from the reception of Jai Nepal.  Before the release of the movie on Friday, Nepal censor board asked to bowdlerize the scene. Therefore, the movie theatres were screening the movie with the cut but the people watched the scenes in the DVD versions of the movie. The issue was also put before Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to take up the issue in the Indian Government. Now the DVD parlors have also removed the movie's DVD from their shelves and also taken out its poster displays. Produced by Warner Bros, ‘Chadni Chowk to China’ is the Bollywood’s first shot-in-China movie that has been categorized as Bollywood’s first Kungfu comedy which has been directed by Nikhil Advani. Ignoring the fact is not an ethic of script writing that has done by the writers like Rajat Arora and Shridhar Raghavan. Moreover everyone could not believe such an international production company committing such a profound mistake.    The educational system of India can be measured through such erroneous concept and knowledge that is disseminated through such mass media time and again. Characterizing the movie under the genre of comedy is not enough. With such worldwide truth, the movie brought up the stupid presentation that has appropriate genre ‘Super-Comedy’ because if someone answers like that, even a small child will laugh at him/her.
