Hey guys and girls, It has been more then 10 years since I read Shri Swastani. I used to read it to my mother (aamaa), coz she could not read. And I am not lying to you guys when I confess this, ever time I read the part where sati died and Mahadev walked with Sati’s body in his shoulder and walked the earth for ever and ever, I just could not hold out my tears, and I used to cry. I cried every year when I read that part, and felt so bad.

I remember the part that Sati’s father (the King) humiliated Mahadev coz he had no “Gotra” (Cast), and he could not marry Sati even though they loved each other, and Sati died instead of marrying Vishnu or something like that. Since then I have always hated this cast system, and though it is a lame thing.

I really want to read it again, is there anywhere, where you can read it online?? Or download it??

It has been so long since I have read it, therefore my question is:

Devi parvati is the re-incarnation of devi Sati, isin’t it??

 unequivocally stated,
in Hinduism a connoisseurs of methodology about

sacred/ holy mandala, or the installment of mandir,

exquisitely in a form of rites   that elevated bastion tracked

back to ancient Sanskrit manuscripts written on palm

leaves. These are kept in the temple and the there head

priests have the sole responsibility of reading and

interpreting them.they are ;

1.Niladri- Mahodaya~
Niladri means 'blue mountainwhile mahodaya means

great rising-- it deals with the origin of the temple.
2.Rudra-Jamala~
Rudra mean refers to Lord Shiva and Jamala is a book of

rituals. It tells of the rituals connected with the deity of

Balabhadra.
3.Tantra -Jamala ~
Tantra refers to esoteric forms of worship, mystic practices

having spiritual power. In it contained many diagrams

that draw these powers down through thier visual forms.

Every day in the temple such diagrams are drawn in front

of the deities where the offering of food is placed.it also

contains instructions on the worship of Subhadra.
4.Brahma-Jamala ~
This deals with the rituals to be folowed in the worship of

Lord Jaganath.~~The Lord of Universe//Shiva!!

The exact date of these palm leaf manuscript is

undetermined - known that ancient sages wrote them after

attaining deep meditative states, and did not consider

themselves the authors. The following rituals of

transformation have been drawn from these sources and

are given in the actual sequence that they are performed in

the temple. Up to the present time they have been kept as

well-guarded secrets inside the temple community itself.it

is no usually permissible to discuss these sacred rites with

outsiders.

As Lord Krishna , in the palm leaf manuscript Nila-

Mahodaya stated, a holy tree in  no ordinary tree can be

used, certain extraordinary requirement must be meet- a

holy tree in Sanskrit name Daru or Neem wood will be

locate by a priest that  apropriately acording to the Vedas

verification suits to carved as deities.

Certian respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Lord

Shiva formations from the carving process is daunted

under scrunity patronising and indulgence from the head

priest.

the process is rather chronologic from the chosen tree,

location, tree cutting devices { golden axe, only the priest

family are able of doing so}, logisting, and ceremony of

deiteis carving, install and rituals is deter on auspicious

time, matters and funtions.

In the last part of Mahabharata, a mysterious connection

is made. Sri Krishna told Arjuna, Now that the war is over,

hear what i want. i wish to take rest in Seealee Lata, a

distant forest of creepers.I know all. There while i sleep, i

will be killed by a tribal man of Kali Yuga. that dense

forest was the ancient site of Jaganath Puri

, as in Rig Veda'

Ato jutta daru Plabate, Sindhupara aparusiya"

Ato means here, jutta means that, daru means wood,

Plabate means floating, Sindhupare means side of the

ocean, aparuseya means not man made.

' Something will be carved from a log of wood floating on

the ocean here [ describing the origin of the murti of Lord

Krishna/Jaganath along the Puri} that cannot be man

made.

{About that dense forest more details are given in the

ancient Sanskrit text of Jaganath Temple, called Nila

Mahoday, that mention earlier.
In which the origin of the temple and the basic outline of

the puja system are described. It is stated that the great

Niladri Temple of Lord Jaganath was once on a huge blue

hill surrouned by a dense forest. The inhibants

worshipping Lord Jagnath here were tribal people called

Dayitapatis. }

Lord Krishna came here and while resting under a tree,

the hunter Jarasabara appeared. He thought the two feet

of Shree Krishna to be ears of a deer, so soft and red in

colour they were. When he realized he had killed this

Krishna with his bow and arrow, he tried to burn the

body. But  it was the body of Deva Purusha Himself ; it

could never be burnt. So he left it at a place by the sea in

Puri called BANKI MUHAN. I t become a fossil of

wood. This marked the beginning of Kali Yuga.

After some thousand years passed,

King Indradumna of Nepal had a dream and in the

dream, he was told to find the log of wood there in Banki

Muhan, carve an image from it as he saw in his dream,

and install it in the great Jagannath Temple of Puri. Thus

Sri Krisha became Lord Jagannath for the modern age,

and all of his Leelas and Pastimes continue today in the

Sri Kshetra of Puri, as they once did in Brindavan.

According to the epic Indra Neelamani and Niladri

Mahoday, it was this same image of Sri Krishna that was

being worshipped by Bishwabasu, the tribesman who met

King Indradumna`s minister, who had been sent to find

the divine murti.

It is said that the priest in the temple of Pattajosee

Mahapatra in Puri is the descendents of the first wood

carver who sculpted the original Shiva Lingga/Jagannath

for King Indradumna in ancient times. In the epic said a

man was sent from Pitaloka is a divine being for this one

task only.hE AGREE  to carve the deities on the condition,

that he would not be disturbed until finished. The king

wife become impatient and before two weeks were over,

he opened the door. Thesculptor immediately vanished,

leaving the deities half-made, and so it is that this half-

made, and so it is that this half made form is worshipped

today.

Lord Jagannath Lord of universe/Akshaya- the universe

itself of Sri Krishna as a Shiva Lingga is worship and

forms of Lord of Universe surround by nine planets icons

have been discover here such quantum physicly then

install in the Holy  Sacred place since long time ago  then.

Its only where back in Mother India where Neems tree are

commons, certain areas where`s ain`t a  marked is similarly

replaced in the forms of black stone, stone or where its

keen rapport applicable enggaged.

Vaguely in another realms, to augment, Hindu`s didnt

plant stone simply as they likes as it seems punishingly

taxing the terms of Offerings, Archanas , Devotees Songs,

Puja Tantric ......that have been obliged evocatively for

years.......

Rememberings God is wise apreciation upon mind

interest, worshipping and offerings is humble to a states

that differ between human and the AlMighty, Hindu`s

disciple will bow, pranam, darshaning and

transcendencely gives flowers of as simple as scentenials

perfumed items as offerings to Gods.
Avatars where as is it possible,  so much important for

Hindu`s by means of worshipping.Thats praying and

wishing perform instinct contact direct to the Gods.
Precisely its source of hope.... the structures....

quoted against the odds  to the " de riguer"/ stamped -

atheist ~ resort  like world before Adam fell on spell  ~

simple and naive ........

Loves Hindu`s, Love Pasupathinath,
Loves Sajha`s.....

Peace.!hajur.

No Nepal Premi, let me give you a little refresher on Nepal. It has now been a secular state for more than a year now. Also we as hindus should be projecting our religion as a tolerant one. As for  Mr. Bathroom Coffee, correcting people on the accuracy of Hindu mythology does not constitute RELIGIOUS FANATICISM; its objectives are purely pedantic. Fanaticism is when you hold a gun to somebody else's head in the name of religion. BATHROOM COFFEE should stay locked in his bathroom and away from the internet, because all he ever does around here is try to act like the bossman spreading hatred. I request the Sajha admin to lock is IP address.

Shiva, is the popular 3rd of the Trimurti, and one of the "Vedic" gods. He is often considered the most complex godly existence in the Hindu Pantheism. He represents TIME, endless and inexorable. He is the power, which destroys and regenerates the Cosmos, after its destruction and constantly destroys and regenerates during cosmic activity.

He is also called Pasupati, He who protects the souls (Pasu). He has neither Form nor is He Formless. His is nirguna, attributeless. He is cause of the origin and the end of everything but He has no beginning and no end.

Shiva in his infinite mercy, appears before the soul at the proper time in the form of a guru, helps the soul to sever the bonds and break the cycle and directs the soul along the path of final deliverance from bonds and of union with God.

Shiva is married to the Goddess Uma/Sakti/Parvati. Uma represents "prakriti", which means perishable matter. Shiva's marriage with Uma signifies that the power of destruction has no meaning without its association with perishable matter.

The Aryans, on their arrival in Northern India, settled near the foot of Himalayas, on a vast plane of land. The early settlement lived in groups in fear of animals that came out of the dense hilly forest and attacked them. The Aryans looked for some "super-natural" power to protect them from the ferocious animals. Pashupati appeared in the Indo-Aryan religion out of the faith of the frightened Aryans. In the Puranas, this powerful god used to get down from the "high mountains" (Mount Kailash) from time to time to provide herbal medicine to the afflicted Aryans.

Siddha Siddhanta, also called Gorakhnatha Saivisim, is generally considered to have come in the lineage of the earlier ascetic orders of India. Its most well-known preceptor was Gorakshanatha (ca 1000) a disciple of Matsyendranatha, patron saint of Nepal, revered by certain esoteric Buddhist schools as well as by Hindus.

Today there are perhaps 750,000 adherents of Siddha Siddhanta Saivisim, who are often understood as Saktas or advaita tantrics. The school fans out through India but is most prominent in North India and Nepal. Devotees are called yogis and stress is placed on world renunciation - even for householders.

Lingam/Lingaraj - personification of the eternal reproductive power of nature. In this character, Shiva is commonly known and worshipped all over India and world, through the symbol - the Lingam stone. 'Linga' means 'mark' in Sanskrit. Shiva Linga/Lingam is a symbol of Shiva. Shiva in this contect refers to the Infinite Reality.

Symbolism is just an art of representing thoughts and ideas, objects and ideals through the medium of signs or symbols. It is said that the Dravidians originated the Shiva Linga as a symbol of the supreme reality. The ellipsoid (shape of the Shiva Linga) represents the Shiva (the immanent) - sakti (the manifest).

The Shiva Linga shape is fixed in such a way the one half of it lies embedded on the earth, whilst the other half remains outside the surface. The upper half that appears above the surface represents the seen, visible manifest would of plurality (sakti). The lower half under the surface is the unseen invisible substratum, the supporter of the upper half.

A cross section of the ellipsoid cut along its axis is an ellipse whereas its cross section cut at right angles to its axis is a circle. Thus ellipsoid thus is a combination of ellipses and circles.

The circle represents the Supreme Reality. A circle has no beginning or end, the Supreme Reality also has no beginning or end. One part of an ellipsoid namely the circle therefore represents the unmanifest Reality, whilst the other part which is the ellipse represents the manifest universe.

Another reference to the Linga is that it represents the phallus. In the description, the Lingam with the usual accompaniment, the Yoni is the universal emablem of Shiva concept.

The base is Brahman, the layers are Vishnu, the Avadayar sign is Sakti and the linga is Shiva. He performs all the three acts of Creation, Preservation and Dissolution.
