Sent the passport for amendment.

Day 9. Called the passport office. They don't pick up the phone, the answering machine is full. They come to work at 10 am, go to lunch at 12 pm, come back at 2 pm and basically the passport dept closes at 3 pm. Sweet. What a service. We don't care about you guys. All we care about is our big fat bellies.

Day 10 call again. Finally get someone to pick up the phone. He tells you that it's being processed and will have that ready soon.

Day 12 call again. No response for hours. Finally get someone to pick up the phone. Oh we are sorry, we need this document as well. So unless you send this document we can't do anything. Why didn't you tell me that before biatch??

Day 16 call again. Okay we got the new documents but there is no record of your passport anywhere. The computer system went down and it's impossible to hand probe through the files. Please call tomorrow and we will try to see if we get any leads. Mofos

Day 17 call again.

Have to wait half hour to get the phone connected. Oh yeah we did find your passport. IT was with one of our bosses. we will send that today. Thank god.

Day 18.

Oh sorry, we saw that one of the documents that you made was from the city office and not from the CDO office. It's not valid. We need documents from the CDO office. Mofos don't even know that those documents can only be made at the City office. You really have to shout at them now. Stupid SOBs

Day 19

Ok we just sent you the passport. It should be in your mail soon

Day 19 night. Check the tracking number it's not been posted.

Day 20

Oh sorry it was raining yesterday so we couldn't post. We will do that today for sure. This time you really have to shout at them and threaten them that I'll post all this in Sajha and in other websites. Which I'm doing now

Day 20 Night. Perhaps they got scared now. The tracking number finally shows that it was posted

Day 22: Got the passport. The handwriting is not legible. You need a writing expert just to figure out the words written. Mofos can't even print or type in CAPS. The writing doesn't make any sense at all. There are too many grammer and spelling mistakes. For such a sensitive document like the passport, this is a shame a disgrace.

Corrupt people like these, who don't even know proper english, who came to "serve" Nepali brothers and sisters in the US without proper english background or even courtesy, we should take severe disciplinary action against them.

I feel ashamed to show my passport to anyone just because of the handwriting and the words written on it that makes no sense.

i went to nepal embassy in newyork city( manhattam) to get visa for nepal,
they told me that they dont have a stamp for visa and its gonna take like 4,5 days to recieved new stamp that's fu#ked up and even told me that nowadays there is no tourist going to nepal so u can get visa easly in airport withour standing in line wow ,even nepal embassy in such a big city dont have the visa stamp

The handwriting on Nepalese passports in most cases is ridiculously poor. And when they have to write things down, it's even worse because of the grammer. It's freakin computer age and Nepali government is still on stone age with files and folders.

My friend told me. He was hired to work in an IT department in Nepal government, but there were no software and computers that he required for several months. After fighting battle for several months, they finally got him those things. He was to create an application to generate computer billing system, and after he finished that, they didn't want to implement it because it would prevent them from taking bribes. My friend got so frustrated that he left that stupid job and came to the US for good.

I think a lot of qualified people don't want to go back to Nepal just because of the bureaucracy and the corruption in the government. It appears that there's no chance for Sojho Sidha people in Nepal.

My experience to Nepales Embassy in Washington Dc is not to serve Nepales who are in the US. But make them to suffer.

I renewed my passport last year and i sent in all my documents in the mail as advised.

then i didnt hear anything for a few weeks and i called , and he said oh its beeing processed. it will take 1 more week.

but then the next day, i got it in my mail.

hahaha weird..

but overall they sent mine within 3 weeks. so i was quite impressed with them.
