When I try to play DVD Movie using PowerDVD, I get an error message 'No Disck On Drive E' although there actually is the DVD disk in the drive E. Do you guys know what the problem and solution is? Thanks.

So does your DVD drive detects the DVD cd in the frst place ?

no, it does not. it is a combo drive cd and dvd. computer recognizes cd discs, but not dvd disks.

so u mean u can play CD/VCD using the same drive and same Ppwer DVD?

Install the DVD driver from the CD that came with the DVD. Hope this helps.

The driver that came with DVD is misplaced. Can't find it, drats! Is there anyway it can be downloaded? The computer system is Insipron 8100.

for the notebooks.

Also check your invoice and make sure you did get a DVD not just a CD
