बाबुराम भन्छन्-मुस्लिमको टोपी लगाउँदा हुने, हिन्दुमाथि किन प्रश्न ?

२३ मंसिर, काठमाडौं । एमाओवादीका नेता डा. बाबुराम भट्टराई गोरखामा आफ्नो पिताको ‘चौरासी’ मा सहभागी भएपछि यसबारे एमाओवादी पार्टीभित्रैबाट आलोचना सुरु भएको छ । तर, डा., भट्टराईले आफूले गरेको कार्यको बचाउ गर्दै मुस्लिमहरुको धार्मिक समारोहमा गएर टोपी लगाउने नेताहरुले हिन्दुहरुको संस्कारमाथि प्रश्न उठाउनु जायज नभएको बताएका छन् ।

‘हामीले मुस्लिम समुदायको धार्मिक समारोहमा टोपी लगाउँदा हुन्छ, जनजातिको धार्मिक समारोहमा गएर फेटा बाँध्दा हुन्छ,’ भट्टराईले अनलाइनखबरसँग भने- ‘हिन्दुहरुको संस्कारमाथि किन प्रश्न उठाउने ?’

आफू भौतिकवादी भए पनि बृद्ध भएका बुबाले गरेको संस्कारमा उहाँको खुशीका लागि सहभागी भएको र यो एउटा सामान्य हिन्दु संस्कारको विषय भएको डा भट्टराईले बताए ।

‘शोषण उत्पीडन र पाखण्ड गर्न भएन, सामान्य व्यक्तिगत आचरण र संस्कारमाथि प्रश्न उठाउनु उचित हुँदैन,’ डा भट्टराईले भने, ‘म भौतिकवादी हुँ, विज्ञानमा मेरो आस्था छँदैछ, तर, बुढाबुढी भएका बा-आमाको मन राखिदिनु अनुचित कार्य होइन ।’

आफूले झापामा भट्टराई बन्धुहरुको कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुँदासमेत धर्मकर्म भन्दा सामाजिक हितमा ध्यान दिन र स्कूलहरु खोल्न सुझाव दिएको डा. भट्टराईले बताए ।

As much as one has the right to practice his/her religion, he/she has no right to force a religion onto others or deny the practice of religion from others.

But remember.. Maoist were prohibiting people from doing these kind of rituals during the revolution period. I have heard first hand account of so called भाटे कारवाही, where Maoist rebel would attack people and disrupt such rituals. Now look at him defend himself... Saala Pakhandi.

Bhaute, is it possible that Bhattarai wasn't calling the shots, at least in regards to the religious protocols? Could it be that other leaders in Maoist party did those atrocities and are again raising the question to Baburam?
As a second in command, Baburam should have done something about things that he doesn't approve, so he is clearly not innocent; but I highly doubt he was the one giving the command to attack people and disrupt said rituals.

Kiddo, I am pretty sure the command came from somewhere from the "Chain Of Command" and Baburam being on that "Chain Of Command" cannot now justify his actions by saying he is doing this to please his parents.. without answering and apologizing to all of people who were ripped of their rights to perform such rituals. It may be possible he personally did not issue the command but it may be possible he did. There is no way for me to find that out. All these so called Netas are nothing but opportunist who only cares about one thing. Kurshi, Power, Satta, Paisa.

yesterday when they rooted for "bhate kaarbahi" they were wooing janajati and classes other than Bahun/Chetri.

Today when they root for "baje ko dharma" they are wooing the bahun/Chetri

It was nothing but politics yesterday and the same politics today.

If you try to understand the meaning behind what those political monkeys do, you are just wasting your time.
