A man is walking down a road and he comes to a fork in the road. There are 2 ways to go.
One road will lead to safety and the other road will lead to death. Now there are 2 guards
waiting there. One of them is a truth teller, the other is a liar. The man cant tell which
is which. But he gets to ask one question to find the door to safety.

Which question is that?

 Good one @freedom....smart thinking....

Another:

1) A man worked at a high security institution. The man tried to log into his computer and the computer denied the password. He then remembered that the passwords to the computers were reset every month for security reasons. He called his boss for his new password. The man said, "Boss, my old password is out of date." The boss said, "Yes, it is. The new password is different, but if you listen closely you will be able to figure out the new one. Your new password has the same amount of letters as the old one, and four of the letters are the same." The man then logged into his computer with no trouble. Whas was the new password and old password???

(This is real easy, so I'll post another one too)

2) A man was found dead in his study. He was slumped over his desk and a gun was in his hand. There was a cassette recorder on his desk. When the police entered the room and pressed the play button on the tape recorder they heard: "I can't go on, I have nothing to live for." Then there was the sound of a gunshot. How did the detective immediately know that the man had been murdered and it wasn't a suicide?? (This time, both are EG)

 I have heard of kiddo's riddle before but I forget the answer. I do remember that it includes flipping the coins at a certain point (hint , maybe?).

@bshal
Turn one bulb on for a few secs then turn it off.
Turn another bulb and go downstairs to observe which bulb is on. The switch you just turned on corresponds to the bulb that is on. Now feel the remaining two bulbs, whichever is warm corresponds to the first switch you had turned on.

He goes down switches on two lights. He switches of one light after 1 minute. He swtiches off the other after 5 minutes. He goes up. The coolest is the one not switched on. The warm one is the one which switched off after 1 minute. The hottest is the one switched off after 5 minutes.

 congratz freedom and kiddo, both are right.....

Okay, hard one this time:

Suppose you're in a hallway lined with 100 closed lockers. You begin by opening every locker. THen you close every second locker. Then you go to every third locker and open it (if it's closed) or close it (if it's open). Lets call this action toggling a locker. Continue toggling every nth locker on pass number n. After 100 passes, where you toggle only locker #100, how many lockers are open?

Ok here is one.

A lady lives on the 40th floor in a flat. When she returns from work and gets on the lift, she goes to the 20th floor when she is alone and walks all the way up to her flat. She hates walking. But at other times, she goes to the 40th floor. So sometimes 20th floor, sometimes 40th floor. Why?.

You are in a closed room with no object made of metal, not even in your clothing.
You are given two iron rods, one of them is magnetic the other is not. How can you tell which one is magnetic?

Easy answer to this question is to suspend both the rods and see which aligns one particular way all the time.
Say the guy who locked you up, realized this. He also took away anything that you can suspend the rods with.

Now, how do you find which rod is magnetic?

 @kiddo,

Take one rod and touch with its end the middle of the second rod. If they get closer, then you have a magnet in your hand. The real magnet will have a magnetic field at its poles, but not at its center. So, if you take the iron bar and touch its tip to the magnet's center, the iron bar will not be attracted.

Here is mine again:

Suppose you're in a hallway lined with 100 closed lockers. You begin by opening every locker. THen you close every second locker. Then you go to every third locker and open it (if it's closed) or close it (if it's open). Lets call this action toggling a locker. Continue toggling every nth locker on pass number n.
