Hi all,
I am new to sajha. So, I don't know much about this website but my friend said me that it is a good place where Nepalese helps another Nepalese. I hope somebody will help me too.
I came USA before 3 years in F1 Visa. When I came here, my parents signed a loan with his relative and putting our home as a security. It was around 11 lakhs. My parents have a small shop in Kathmandu in the name of income. We don't have income of much. My father agreed to pay 2 lakhs every year. The person with whom we took loan was OK with that but before a week he came to our house and said that he is going abroad and so he need all his money back.. He threatened that he will use his force if we do not pay his money back. My father was very nervous. When he asked about the previous agreement, that guy said that it was urgent and he needs the money within 1 month. My parents are in big trouble. They asked for help with many people but everybody said that they don't have money. I sent them $1500 that I saved from summer for this semester but I know that won't work. I am working off-campus too leaving my classes all these days so that I can save some money and sent them later this month. I am not sure if I will be able to manage that much amount.
I have an iPhone that I bought before 1 year from eBay. If anybody wants to buy iPhone, can you please buy it from me? It is iPhone 3G 16GB Black Unlocked. It has no scratch on it. I will also give you the hard incase that I bought for 30 dollars from Amazon. I also have Samsung Gravity phone that I received when I got the phone from T-Mobile. I will sell this also if any body is interested. I am desperately looking for money. I hope somebody will help me. I have no choice other than selling the stuffs that I have so that I can send some money to my home to save my home.
My PayPal id is rajandhkari@yahoo.com
If you want to buy the iPhone can you please send the money in this account? It would be a great help for me.
Thanks

Rajan, for now, don't worry about paying to sajha friends. First try to find the way to pay those people in Nepal so that your house can be freed. We didn't helped you expecting something in return. You don't have to worry about paying us, Most of us here in sajha help eachother because we want to not because we need to. Good luck boss.

This is a strange post. When I first saw it, I dismissed it thinking the guy is making up some story to sell his stuff.
Then after reading more, I believed the story but didn't help because many of us have gone through that and nobody helped us, we had to rescue ourselves. So I wanted to say tough luck, but I reserved my comments.
After seeing many ppl here help and Rajan himself coming back saying things are better now I felt glad there are plenty of people less cynical than me. I am not sure if I still would help in the future or not, because I only help the absolute helpless, but it sure has given me some perspective.

Hey Stiffler, just a few words from myside to you. You're not cynical bro, it's obvious to have strange thought in our mind when somebody ask for financial help in a place like saja where all of us are stranger to each other.
Honestly speaking i felt the same when i first read rajanadhkari's post. It's because i have been donating few bucks every month, sometimes twice or thrice because sometime somebody in MN got into a car wreck, Some student in OKlahoma died, Some ppl in Boston has surgery. Everytime when i look at those donation.com , i couldn't hold myself and neither could you. So i feel like let's not go to the bar this weekend and give the money to this person. But sometimes i feel like, oh well, i am helping everybody like this but someday if something happen to me than do i get a same help from others or not? And you know what? I think i will. I am not a religious person but i do believe in god, i know god will watch everything and we get what we deserve. Also one thing i have learned in life. When it comes to give and take thing, always give give and give as much as you can and don't expect anything. If you expect things than you're called "DAHADE" in our Nepali language or a selfish.
When it comes to rajan also, i did the same thing. I didn't gave him anything and just avoid the thread but after i went home from work. I felt so bad and felt that i am being selfish here because his house was about to be gone and i was drinking JD with coke on the rocks with Marlboro Blend 27, my fav brand. So i just felt very bad and the very next i thought about not buying a drink for that weekend and giving that money to him. Either way i was going to spent it anyways but i spent it in a good reason this time. Even though i didn't donated million dollars but still with my small contribution, rajan was able to save his house. I feel very blessed for that. For instance i also thought that who know, he might have made up a stories but I know he was not making some stories and even if he was also, well we didn't lost anything but he himself lost his dignity.
jadau.
