Dirty minded, please provide me with some CEO's name and the companies they are working for , as you have decribed. and yes, i am looking to transfer over to Bangalore or singapore from my Job here in the USA. And i do not have to argue with you. I gave you my sincere suggestion with honest heart. You obviously find it offending. I wouldn't chose to be your brother if i had a choice. bye

aman, if your bro comes here after slc, he will see lot of hard days in his life. let him study in good campus in Nepal or India. After he has studied up to Bachlor Level, then he should come to America.

I don't agree with you dirty minded, How many people are over here who works as CEO, if you consider there are many..who works in CEO in NY..it must be few..or they must have studied in USA in some good school with full scholarship...and to tell you the truth i have seen many people who stay in new york not studying but working all the time... I know most of the nepalese student study in the average level of school. And dont think it is easy to find job after doing undergraduate form average level of school until and unless you are from very good college or you have good experience..its kind of guaranteed... And in my opinion its good to come here for graduate like many indian students...almost all of them come here for fellowship..and all they can spend lots of time on studying... It is not bad idea studying undergrad in nepal or India..amd come here for masters... Anyway its your thinking..i am not saying that i am correct........

I would suggest undergrad in Nepal or India and coming here for masters. What is the point in spending so much money here for the same degree (four years) which you could get for 1/10 in India or Nepal? I don't think Nepali undergraduate students who are so much cared and spoonfed by their parents are mature enough to handle US student life earning their own tuition fee. There are many possibilities to fall through the crack.

after coming to US. our maturity level suddenly grows up. too much responsibility. In the beginning it is tough but later on you get to it. so if you want ur brother to be independent, stand alone person then send him here early. he would learn all the hard work and tough life of us. "REMEMBER ONE THING DO NOT SUPPORT FINANCIALLY FROM HOME" but if you want him to get GOOD EDUCATION. then have him go to INDIA or UK better. US does have good education if you get into tier 1 schools. Beside them NOT WORTH IT @ LEAST FOR UNDERGRAD or GRAD. Just my thts. ==================================================== what do i know (O:

Dirtyminded, sorry if i offended you. as far as your questions goes, I would say yes, if those Nepali students are studying just to go over to UK or US then they are wasting time. They should learn to learn , and have a good promising professional future. Doing masters in India would be the best option for them, rather than coming here for undergrad. if they are going to receive good scholorships then it's a good idea. I have met some students from Budhanilkantha school who has received very good scholorships and that is very good for them. No undergrad Nepali has become CEO of any company in the USA.. unless you're refering to mymart company, little handy-craft company, or Nepali restaurant company. Living in usa for 9 years , and being in professional world for 3 years, I have seen very few Nepalis in upper level management. Indians, lots of them. Most Nepali i have seen are unhappy in the usa. Most students i have met are clue less and living for moment. There are very few who get good scholorships and get to go to good schools, but they are very few . Most are working unauthorize jobs( according to the u.s immigration law) and using that money to go to school. And I work here for Indians too. They are smart and if you don't like working for them, then you better not come to usa. They are the brains in the USA and they're highly respected and reconized by the companies they work for.

Aman, I don't think they sponser F1 visa for high school students. Coming after SLC is 11th grade here and I don't think that facility is available for foreign students. Mt two cents.

i dont think our friend here is looking for any information.Information is asked when you're curious to know facts. Our friend here already knows a lot about America. He's giving us informations in return. I wish if he coud very kindy provide me the names of the Nepai - undergrad CEOs. So i could maybe find a decent job by contacting them and pulling our common roots. So our friend here aready knows the job market and what undergrad degree means in the USA. He even knows a lot of undergraduate - CEOs from Nepal lliving in the East part of the nation , who can barely add and spell. I think he's in a very good shape and soon will rip off the fruit of being a brother of a CEO.

dyamn, i thought u r already working. But being a CEO of an LLC is not a big thing .. u know what i mean. Its a one man company and you are the owner and CEO (O: but there has been instances where Nepalese who have done undergrad in US had been COO of branches in Nepal of some multinational. some karmacharya has a tech company in Nepal. i believe he was an under/graduate of MIT. he is CEO, there. preety good financials. Have decent clientele in US. another person from MIT owns lot of industies in NEPAL.

In addition to thapa ji reply: Started from Undergrad. in US Priya Sharma - Grad. of Cornell currently works for intel inside. She is not a CEO; but she is in a high level. Ramesh Karki - Grad. of NYU Works for UN.(ny) Dont know his level but he makes a lots of money Umesh Uppreti - Grad. of RICE Works for some oil company, is the director of that branch Bupil Raj Adhikari - Grad. of Uni. of Colorodo - Hotel managment - lots of money!!! and the list is LONG!! Well, i dont know all of them; but i hav heard about them. Seen them. Why dont u come to NY eve party this week bro in Manhattan...then, u will see ppl who studied from their undergard.; worked hard and now living 1st class life. Well, yea its hard. Its not a piece of cake to achive all that. But, if u get in some nice schools here then, i would not recommend studying in US. And, as u said going to INdia, thats not a bad idea; but there are many other things which draws pppl to west!!!

Hey dirty minded still you gave few list...you were talking as if there were lots...compare with other average nepali student ..if you talk like this i also can say few people who has done PHD from cornell,yale,harvard,colombia,......and all of them who study in this kind of college come for scholarship or fellowship ...i bet you,.,,,...and don't think studying in these type of college is easy..if you study in this type of college you won't be able to work outside because it is tough ..they need to have scholarship....but remember there are thousands of nepalese student who is still working illligal job in comparision to few....so my just point is if you have schoarship in good university for undergrad its okay to come over here...or either come in scholarship for graduate student.at least you will be paid for you are studing and can do research ....

Yep thapap well, i dont know wat she studied, wat she did not. Chorey ra pass garyo ke phadera pass garyo. But, wat i know is she came here a long time ago; undergard. now graduated from cornell and works for intel. :) And, same thing with other ppl mentions above. and there are lot like thapap said. But, now DYAM ji mite com and say: "well, they all had to work for indians and in their gas station to pay off their tutions" well, for taht i hav to say YES, they did. they worked their ass off. Jhannnn tyo jawana ma ta, it was not smiple as now it is to get work @ indian''s or paki's or @ nepali's. """" in next 10 yrs. when all the IVY grad from Nepal start their adventure in INDUSTRY.. we are gonna c a lot of them in UPPER MANAGEMENT. """" thapap said good to hear that :) btw, if u guys hav notice or now. When u open adobe photoshop...as it loaded up -- it reveals the user some name. I rekon i saw few indian names and a nepali name :)

And i have read all your above thread...you don't need to remind me..i am tallking about average nepali student...not talking about few student ...
