It's auto deposit from IRS. So whoever filed taxes with a SSN in 2018 2019 is eligible. Not just citizens and PR.

No , if you are filing tax returns for last 3 years, you will receive it and i assumed you filed as Resident, (IRS treat you as resident if you been here in US for 3 years and been filing 1040)

Here's who won't get a stimulus check:- Children who are 17 or 18 years old.
- Many college students between the ages of 19 to 23.
- Adults who can be claimed as dependents.
- Nonresident aliens (in other words, those without a green card).
- Estates.
- Individuals who earn more than $99,000 or married couples earning more than $198,000.
- People who haven't filed 2018 and 2019 tax returns.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25.
$7.25 x 40 hours/wk x 4 weeks = $1160
$1200 "bailout"

Only requirement
- US Citizens and their children and Anybody who has lived in USA for 6 months or more and has a work permit and earned income plus filed a tax
Here is the detailed info Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that were compiled by Democratic committee staff: Who qualifies to receive a check and how much will an individual receive? Anyone who filed a tax return this year or last year. Individuals receive $1,200, married couples receive $2,400, and child dependents (under 17) receive $500. Today In: Taxes What are qualified income levels based off of? There is no qualified income threshold or requirement to receive the rebate. However, the rebate phases out at a 5 percent rate above adjusted gross incomes of $75,000 for single filers, $112,500 for heads of household, and $150,000 for joint filers. PROMOTED Can those collecting Social Security or disability receive a check? Yes, if they filed a tax return this year or last year, or received a form SSA-1099. Otherwise, they need to file a tax return. How does an individual claim their check? They do not need to claim their checks (unless they have not either filed a tax return this year or last year) – IRS will send out rebates automatically to their direct deposit or to the address provided on the last tax return submitted. How long will it take for this check to be delivered? Rebates sent via direct deposit will take a few weeks. Rebates sent via checks may take a few months. Will I be taxed on this check? No, rebates are not taxable. Will I be eligible if I haven’t finished filing my 2018 taxes? You need to have filed either a 2018 tax return or a 2019 tax return. If you have not filed either, you will not be eligible. You can file a 2019 tax return now to claim the rebate. Will I be eligible if I have a lien against me, but I am in non-collect status? Yes. Rebates will not be subject to garnishment, except if back child support is owed. I withdrew my retirement in 2018- so my income that year was inflated. Is there any waiver for one time sources of income? In this case, the taxpayer should file a 2019 tax return. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2020/03/31/stimulus-check-faqs/#674482c3f79b

Oh Seto Kamila, you don’t have to file taxes for Last 5 years. Haha don’t be a Sajha lawyer lol. Just filing in 2018 or 2019 would make u eligible as long as you did not hit the cap. I’m not taking for GC or citizenship, but they still have to have earnings in 2018 Atleas. GC automatically file 1040 A. But when u apply immigration benefits , you have to submit your tax transkript, for last 3-5 years for example H1b, dependent visa such as H2, OpT- GC and so on. Don’t tell here so and so , you not a lawyer. A F1 student just arrived here in 2019 November could mistakenly filed 1040 EZ. When they should have filed 1040NR. Things like that. DHS/ IRS knows people file as a resident as because you get various stimulus and work credit and so on. It is fraud to mark as a resident alien , when you are a non resident. What if you get on a random IRS audit? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/after-you-file/discussion/i-am-on-f1-visa-status-and-i-have-filed-online-1040ez-form-through-turbo-tax-but-i-found-out-that-i/00/304288/amp

Hi Muna ji, This thread is getting too complicated here, just go to new one that I have created. If you were divorced in 2019, then you should have filed as single for the year 2019. Meeraj is right, just file the 2019 so they will have correct name, address and bank info. Have you filed your taxes for 2019 year? Let me be clear here, In 2018 you filed married with separately, did you guys use joint account to get refund? If you have not filed for the year 2019, we need to hire a lawyer to get the money back- don’t worry I do paralegal too! I know few lawyers around. Just message me here
