A senior Maoist leader has said that they will launch a new revolution if the Maoists lose the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

Addressing an election rally in Bhachhek village of Gorkha 2 constituency, Maoist number two Dr. Baburam Bhattarai said no other political party can address the agenda raised by them, reports Kantipur.

"To fulfill the agenda raised by Maoists, we must win the election. There is no question of losing it," said Dr. Bhattarai, who is contesting from the constituency.

"If we lose, there will be a new type of revolution," he added, without elaborating the kind of revolution he has in mind.

Dr. Bhattarai claimed that CA, federalism, state restructuring were all the agenda raised by the Maoists. He claimed his party has plans to develop Nepal up to European standard within 40 years. nepalnews.com

I have been reading this in baburam and prachanda's campaign.what does this mean.. So if they are thinking of new revolution if they dont win...wats the use of election??? i thought election was necessary for the peace process.. if these corrupted netas(including NC,RPP,UML and watever) are thinking abt revolution after election then i dnt think there is need of election ,violence and killing b4 elections.... WHY dnt they demand to take over the government...iinstead of this big drama of election ...EC can save lotta money on this..... Can we expect the fair election .. NOWAY can we expect peace after election...certainly NO..frm these kinda election campaign.

If you lose the election isn't it obvious that people of Nepal don't want you ? What is the point of spending all that money in holding this election if they are going to be pulling this kind of shit. I think Nepali peopleneed to rise up to the occasion and say enough is enough. If they don't win the election, they need to accept the fact that they are not wanted by Nepalese. They already killed thousands of innocent lives. How many more they want? Why don't they kill themselves? Killers! Are they trying to win election on the basis of warnings and killings? Will someone knock them out of the country, please?

Very interesting!! If the Maoist loose the CA... that means the people of Nepal don't like you stupid idiots. Now what they want? Can we not get rid of these stupid netas and the Maoist leaders. I am very concerned what might happen if they loose? what will nepal be like.

I have a feeling that if they loose the election where will be a massive civil war coz the Maoist then will have no space in public. They can't go back to the forest or if they go back what will they do... start another war. So i think nepal army and the police should get prepared for it.

If not why don't we kill the leaders of the Maoist right now what are we waiting for and even kill all the ghusiya netas.

Why has there not been any assasination of a leader in Nepal yet? and specially when everyone knows whats is going to happen next.... KILL THE MAOIST BEFORE THEY PLAGUE OUR COUNTRY MORE!!!

Election should be considered as voice of people in democratic country. If maoist does not care of voice of people then what the bullshit they are talking about republic and democracy. They just care of power and Prachanda to be President. And hearing these kinds of statements from Maoist leaders, it seems like Maoist knows their loosing probability is 90% else they won't threaten before the result of Election. This is just a looser statement by Baburam.
Above all, country can not be ruled by threatening citizens and creating chaotic situation.
