here is the news i found the Times of india.com but i dont know what exactly has been said about gorkha community.

DARJEELING: The hill town on Wednesday erupted in anger over a radio jockey’s comment about the Gorkha community a day after Prashant Tamang was crowned the Indian Idol.

The RJ’s derogatory words on a popular FM channel in Delhi on September 24 night led to mass protests in Darjeeling. People burnt an effigy of the RJ and Bimal Gurung, a local councillor, led a group of protesters with black flags to the district magistrate’s office.

Shops in Darjeeling shut down after posters condemning the remarks were put up in Chow Bazaar in the morning. Tamang’s fan club faxed a letter to Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, Union minister of information and broadcasting, and Union home minister Shivraj Pati

full news is here.....

Darjeeling: Reports have poured in from all over India regarding derogatory comments made by radio jockey Nitin working with Red FM 93.5 against the Nepalese community in India. According to one of the comments we received from Mr. Bishal Rai (made in DT) “He (Nitin) said : Aaaj Prashant Tamang 'Nepali larka from Darjeeling' has become Indian Idol 'with sarcastic laugh'….. and we have match tonight so we need to guard our house / malls / restaurants by ourselves as there will be no Nepali People to guard these place and whole night we need to say "Jagtay Raho". He also added that all the Footpath momo shops will remain closed as Nepali guy has become Indian Idol…”

We must make him / FM station apologize unconditionally in writing and verbally for this….

Call Nitin… 0120- 419- 35935 or
Email (Nitin's Boss)… anhita@myredfm.com and make them feel our presence..

We thank Mr. Rai for his alert observation and prompt action, as this has resulted in tremendous protest all over the Hills of Sikkim, Darjeeling and even Nepal.

Darjeeling was totally shut down today and massive rallies comprising of all political parties, school students and citizens are being organized all over the town. The effigies of Nitin and RED FM were burnt in town and nearby places like Jorebunglow, Ghoom, Kurseong etc.

Numerous protest calls have so far been registered by the Darjeeling DM office, Red FM and Darjeeling MP Dawa Narbula. Mr Tenzing Khambachey municipal commissioner, Darjeeling Municipality, said that we will ensure that Red FM is shut down and RJ Nitin comes to Darjeeling to apologize. He even said that “we will make sure the information and broadcasting ministry takes a strong note of this issue”.

We request all our readers and well wishers to thank Mr. Bishal Rai and protest to Red FM in the above given phone number and email address.
