Analyzing the recent political development in Nepal, I am convinced that we are going to have Thailand style Military Ku in Nepal in very near future. Probably during Dasai or Tihar. As, Maoist are already out of government, boycotted the CA election and agitating on the street, their Militia in containment desperate to walk out of their boundaries will be on street soon. As we are aware of the fact that, Maoist has submitted only 3500 weapons it seems they still possess a huge cache of weaponaries. So I will not be surprised if they are start intimating police, armies and civil servants in the name of anti-monarcy agitation which will force the governement to mobilize the army. But seeing the current situation, it is hard for me to believe that Army will be mobilized under GP Koirala's leadership. Thus, i fear Army may take control of the country and leave monarch alone saying we respect him but will not work under his control as they did in Thailand recently. I believe, we are pushing army to the wall and intimadating them to do some eventuality which they have never done in the past. God help us.

If maoists take over, God help us...If army takes over, not even God can help the damn Maoists!! Army rule for Nepal is a million times better than being under the yoke of the Maoist's slave labor system!!

I don't think even the Army is as effective and united as it used to be once upon a time. The maoists guerrillas had the Army's number so many times during the so-called people's war.

Army can take over But they can't run the government smoothly. It could be a temporary measure. The only way out is to have election, declare maoists as enemy of Nation. Or, Maoist take over and Nepal becomes a communist state.

May be that is good option. But looking at Army people we can not hope anything from them either. It seems Nepal is on the way to doomsday.

If army can dissociate with the monarchy and take power then that will be good. If the army stiil thinks king as the master then we will go back to the Magh 19. This time it has to be Army's coup without the King.

Are you guys suggesting a new "Junga Bahadur" will be born in the course of present situation? This Junga bahadur could probably imprison the king and the present 8 party government, but what about the Maoist? Since most of the maoist are already in Kathmandu, this final battle would be in Kathmandu... I donot think there is anyone in Nepalese Army or someone who can control the NA with that much courage or the conspiring wisdom....Prove me wrong NA

LOL... Nepalese army is run by "pack of fools with no brains"so how could they run a country? no way...man. To make Nepal like Switzerland ,we nepalese must have to eliminate this institution completely and also the King. Army is still the servant of the so called king!!!

I do not think that the Nepalese Army will do like the Royal Thai Army because it lacks good leaders. The current leaders of the Army are engaged more in pleasing the political leaders rather than being concerned about the country. The NA needs good leaders to guide the army and commanders who are really concerned about the nation.

Do you guys still believe, you need leadership to creat trouble and vision to lead the nation?? Did Gyanendra took control because he had leadership quality or do you think Prachanda lead the revolution because he hand vision to make positive changes in the country. It is simple, Gyanendra made the move because he could and Nepal Army will do the same. Because they can. Regarding, Prachanda, it has been proved, they are worthless bunch of hypocrates who knows to break but has no clue about fixing things.
