For all Nepalese, ANA is a big program and people flew thousands of miles to socialize and to give a greater role to our community but every ANA ends up without shameful events- FIGHTS. And in the last day, the program was stopped inbetween when one of the artist was performing, which was a real shame on us. If this continue, I wonder if we will get any reservations at the hotels in near future and this messages goes to all those 'gangsta':There are innocent nepalese killed in different part of US with guns while working, for no reasons and if you wanna show how brave you are than go fight with those criminals so that we all can applaud but if not, than don't F@@KING play with our reputation of being a Nepali, "F@@KING CRACKHEADS". If your's intention is to fight and mess-up the whole programs, including sports than please stay at home and let other feel HOME-AWAY-HOME. Enjoy!!!

There is nothing like Ego or anything...they are just some dumbass morons...they only fight with other nepalese on only nepalese gatherings...if they have to fight with blacks, whites or hispanics, they will pee on their pants....

And they never fight by themselves.. they like to group up creating some logo, like Nepalis from texas, Nepali from boston, Nepalis with naak chucho, Nepali with lamo kapal..hehe.. and storm against a loner somewhere.... whey do they forget that they are all Nepali? alcohol should be totally banned from such events... and such fights should be monitored by camera and reported and such actions should be punished to the extent of law; to discourage such activities in future... no easy taking, no giving them a benefit of having fragile immigration status.. fight is a fight, and such act should be reported and such culprits should be press charged....

actually it;s good to fight once in a while k.
so at ANA where it's all happening, it's the best place to fight.
fight also helps to relieve some tension, pressure from living in usa.
therefore with alcohol beverages to fuel the tension, and half-naked amiga at ANA, brawl is so sure to take place.
anyway without fight ANA is boring. fight realli brings up the atmosphere.
therfore i always support the fight. not only in ANA.

see you ate baltimore.

so far as I understood , ANA's gathering stands for :

1. a perpetual continuity to nepali ko jhadagada garneh bani practice garneh thau
2. a place to make other citizens laugh at us.
3. place to take revenge upon ones whom you couldn't take revenge in homeland.
4. free daru,whisky
5. exam, padhai, kaam ko tension release garneh thau...
6........
7........
( you can add more )

I was in ANA like on sunday evening driving 3 hours from southern california. Concert started like more than an hour later than the scheduled time. I paid 30 bucks for the concert ticket and was inside there trying to enjoy the show. I think it was when Deepesh Kishor Bhattarai was singing...there was this guy standing right next to me( about mid 20s) and talking to this girl around 19 or 20s quite loudly...they were talking about all kinds of things. I was getting annoyed after a while as I could not really enjoy the music as they were right next to me. I politely asked this guy saying "Brother would you mind keeping it down or taking your talks outside/at the back? I am trying to enjoy the concert". Apparantly, I was trying to enjoy the show. But the guy was so mad and he was like "Its my right to talk wherever I want. If you dont like it here, move to different isle!" So I was about to go with verbal war, but I ignored him and again rather tried to enjoy the songs. As, I really did not want to hear later that (name) was fighting with (name) haha...may be I looked skinny he was acting that way. Few years back in college, I used to have similar problems, like someone next to you are always chit-chatting and you are trying to concentrate on the lecture. I always asked those people that I was trying to concentrate on the lecture. Mostly, these were american fellow students, and they would keep keep their voice real low or be quiet and infact offer apologies for the disturbance.

But hey, I was hardly there for an hour or so and drove back. I heard the fight erupted and the concert was dismissed later that night. Good going!

Los Angeles: The All American Nepalese Association (AANA), a grouping of Nepalis living the US, celebrated its 25th anniversary by organizing a variety of programmes in Los Angeles, California from 29 June-1 July.

With Deputy Speaker of Nepal's Interim Parliament Chitra Lekha Yadav as the chief guest, the event was managed by Friends of Nepal. The function, which began with a welcome speech by AANA Chairman Amrit Tuladhar, included competitions in literature, music and sports. Chairman of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum Upendra Yadav was invited as a special speaker in the function.

Some of the programmes also saw brawls among Nepalis. A musical evening in which famous singers like Sugam Pokharel and Prem Raja Mahat performed and a football match witnessed the fights.
