Where a Queens resident is supposed to apply for NY state ID card ? Previously (about 5 yrs ago) it used to be in 34 st. Manahattan but when I 'googled' it gives an address in Jamaica, Queens. Since I have to go early in the morning I don't want to ruin a morning's sleep by going to a wrong location. Any help ?
P.S. I work in a place where I have no telephone access during their office hour so could not call them.
Thanks.
Brooklyn Office - NYSDMV
Atlantic Center, Second Floor
625 Atlantic Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11217
This is where you should go . It shouldn't take long cause they have many staffs and windows to deal with people which takes very less time you just need to stay in line for few minutes thats all . Queens office takes too long time . Make sure you have all required documents with you . Get in check on left side of entrance there are forms in wall pick one of them to apply for ID fill it up when you are in line .
Thanks NepaliNetworks, you mean being a Queens resident I can go to Brooklyn DMV office too. Thought I can apply only in Queens.
Before 3 year I made it on manhattan on 34 and Broadway !
u can go to manhattan too. it does not matter where u live in nyc to get the id. i live in queens and i got it from manhattan. there is express service too on 34th street between 7th and 8th ave.
@tshering5 : Express service no it doesn't work like that anymore it's too pack there takes too long to get the work done.
@ Adhikari yes you can go anywhere in NY to apply for NY State ID or it's best to apply direct for Driving license which you might need later on and once you have Driving ID you can't own 2 ID's.
